mods not sure if this is in the correct place or not, if not please move. my question is about the zero of an optic, as we all know the sub2000 folds for compactness. i want to be able to attach a small red dot or reflex of some nature but it will be on a quick detach riser, my worry is wether or not it will hold zero throughout removal and reattchment. Anyone have experience?

I gave up on attaching anything to mine. There is no way to conveniently mount a scope that does not hurt the ability to fold it into a small package.

the red lion mount would do the trick, but i dont want to spend the money on it when i already have the keltec brand mount. im still debating a qd mount on a basic red dot

Thats quite creative, I like the idea but I already have a picatinny forend. I'm really thinking hard into the red lion setup

Quality QD mounts should be very repeatable.

Compared to the KT folding scope mount it should be ... well, nothing should be compared to the KT folding scope mount.

So in theory a good QUALITY, not cheapo crap, qd will let me attach and reattach and keep zero on a good quality red dot?

Just an idea... I don't know if it would clear enough to allow it to fold or not... but you could try one of those offset mounts like people put on AR's for 3-gun, that let you mount a mini red dot at 45 degrees. You just rotate the rifle in your shoulder to use it.
