I was looking for a 2nd mag for my Beretta 74 and noticed that they aren't frequently found. I did see that the 10 round mag for a Beretta 87 looks like the same body without a notch on the lower section.

Has anyone tried to modify an 87 mag to fit the 70 series .22lr pistols?

I found a mag in a $10 dig box yesterday, and got it 'cuz it looked exactly like one for an M70. Got it home and then noticed there was no hole for the mag catch. And while it is side-by-side near to identical to my M70 mags, it just won't fit. What kind of mag catch does the 87 have?

If you look at the front of the magazine, it's almost 2" down from the top, on the left.

Hmmm.....that's not it. I wonder if there's a Beretta .22 with a heel type mag catch.

I tried them a few years ago and they were out, but I'll give them another fax try. I was able to pick up a sight blade for my pistol though.
