How about a quality .22 pistol? I just bought a Smith and Wesson M&P22 and absolutely love it! I have a Glock 19 and the S&W is the closest understudy I could find (excluding conversion kits of course). It has quickly become one of my favorite pistols.

Just curious about your statement "I have one more purchase permit left...". Is there a limit of how many guns you can own in NJ? As for your question, I would say "Buy some luggage" but barring that, you might want to consider a carbine like the Storm. They are a lot of fun.

I don't see a Sig P226 or 229 in your inventory. I don't own either but I had the honor of shooting a 226 Elite with the new SRT two weekends ago. What a joy.

I dont know how things work in NJ but here you can buy a 34 slide an put it on a 17 frame. So he could stretch this last purchase into two guns if he got a 17. Also, .40 and 357 sig glocks use the same frames as 9mm so if NJ doesnt have a problem with it, you could get some slides and mags that would turn your 9mm glocks into different guns.

Kahr CM9 in 9mm is a reputable choice. Quality construction, lightweight, concealable, very accurate, and very reliable. Some might scoff at the next recommendation, but I had really good luck with a Taurus PT740 Slim, a .40cal. Never had a problem or malfunction in over 500+ rounds. Description of Kahr matches the Taurus also.

Thank you very much for all of your replies. In NJ you're handgun mags are limited to

limited to 10 rounds. You can't buy a pistol without a "permit" which must be applied for with each purchase. You can get multiple permits but they expire in 90 days and you can only buy one pistol per month. I can reapply for more later on but it takes months. You can buy as many long guns as you want without a permit as long as you have a Firearms ID card.

I have a lot of thinking to do. .22 Glockconversion kits, CZ, Sig P226/229, steel, polymer, CZ, Glock competion etc.

I'll consider everything and thank you all again!

If you can only buy 1 more gun I would go with a EAA Witness.

A EAA Witness you may ask, yes I say. You can get the full size steel or poly gun and then you can get conversion kits for it. You can get .22, 9mm, .40, .45, 10mm, and 38 super. So buying one gun you can in a round about way get 6 guns.

The Witness is a cz75 clone, I have one in 10mm have put about 1000 rounds down the pipe this summer and it is my daily CCW. Now every body hands are different I LOVE the way it fits in hand. It is like it was custom made for me. I can not recommend this one enough.

I vote for the Beretta Storm. It does have a safety which can put a new shooters mind at ease and has VERY light recoil. Of the guns you have listed I wouldn't chose the G26 just because it is small and I think a new shooter would be better suited with a full or compact size gun.
