Phantom:
I've hunted Dos Plumas twice; the first time for hogs (December 05), and the second time for turkey and a hog (April 07). I had 100% success both times, for a total of 3 hogs and a nice turkey (my first).
Allen has, if I recall, about 1500 acres, none of it high-fenced, except for where he keeps the high-dollar exotics.
Hog hunts are usually done from ground blinds near feeders, and believe me, it'll raise the hair on the back of your neck when you're sitting alone behind some brush and hear a bunch of hogs coming in *behind* you.
This past April, Allen let me do a spot-and-stalk hunt; he dropped me off in some brush and turned me loose. After about an hour, I walked up on and shot a nice eating-size hog, about 90 pounds (just had one of the hindquarters for dinner tonight, in fact).
Also, Allen will let you hunt predators for free while you're out there, and there are plenty of coyotes and bobcats around. We saw a bobcat while driving to a stand one morning, and I got off a shot at a coyote one evening. It had come running in to a cheap call I was using (I'd never predator-hunted in my life), and I was so startled when I saw it that I nearly dropped my rifle! He was headed right at me, and I missed about an inch to the right.
That was my best day of hunting ever. I had bagged a turkey in the morning, a hog in the afternoon, and damn near had a coyote that same evening.
By the way, here are some other reviews of Dos Plumas:
