Before the flaming begins I would like to point out that this was an EXTRA stock that I had laying around.
I was sitting around with little to tinker with and I thought it would be a cool idea to be able to store ammo onboard a mosin rifle without the cheap nylon shell holder. So this is what I came up with. This was a trial run just to see of it would work for my next one I am going to use stronger aged brass hinges, a fancier looking lock and I am going to stagger the rounds in the stock so it can hold 6 rounds. It obviously needs to be refinished afterwards but I just wanted to post it and see what you guys thought.
