Super Custom AR for my son

so after doing some research, I'm looking into getting an AR for my son where I can make up the serial #... I want it to be his name and birthdate... how cool is that for something to pass down to my son that's named after me! the company is Specialzed Tactical... I'm looking in the their Gen 1 lower... http://www.specializedtactical.com/ar-parts-and-accessories/

anybody have any experience with this company? also, how hard is it to put together a lower? I will be converting a Saiga rifle this week and that doesn't seem hard... thanks, Johnny

If it were me I would skip the custom serial # and just get a lower. Then have something personal engraved on it.

Look around a little and see what else $200 buy in a lower.

A build is easy enough. By the third one it is over so quick you think that's it. Search for some guides on the net. I think AR15 had a good one.

I don't know a thing about that company- but what you're wanting to do sounds like a great idea to me. I still have the first rifle my dad bought me and I s'pose I'll have till the day I croak. But man, the 'wow' factor your son will get out of that is off the charts.

And once you study up on it- completing a lower build is no big chore. Just go slow and methodical.

Wish there was a Dad Award smiley- you'd get one.
