what makes the ssc powders better or different? What kind of results have you been getting? I could be shooting 1/4 inch at 200 yds and still would try to improve. I am always looking for different powders, bullets and other components to use. As with most reloaders, I am never satisfied with my best results from the same components.

Yes, what Clarence said. Metering stick powders through a measure can be a source of frustration. The super short cut kernels help this situation. They also pack a bit better in the case so if you are using compressed loads you want to pay extra attention when working near the max charge range.

IMR-4007-SSC has no directly comparable normal powder.
It supposedly fits in between IMR-4320 and IMR-4350 in the grand scheme of things.

Hodgdon/IMR says IMR-7828-SSC has exactly the same burn rate as IMR-7828 but the short grains allow about 4% more to fit in a case, if the load data calls for it.
