Suppressor and Barrel length

I have a CZ 452 American with a 22" barrel that I am thinking about threading. I have also looked at the CZ 452 with a 16" threaded barrel. If the same suppressor was on both guns, what would the differences be to the sound and other factors?

Depends on the ammo used. As long as the cartridge is subsonic (@1050fps or less) from both, the sound should be pretty much the same.

So, would I be at an advantage, disadvantage or neither if I had a couple inches cut off the barrel when I was threading it?

Not at all. The squirrel you shoot will never know the diference. Really, though, any change in ballistics can be compensated for by learning the limits of your load and rifle.
