Silenced America LLC had an outstanding idea to petition the government for NFA branch reform. A forum member contributed to the idea that spawned the counterpart petition on the whitehouse website. Silenced America is doing a suppressor giveaway on another website that you may also want to enter.

As much as I really want a free silencer, there are white papers circulating in the government to dissolve the ATF. This is of course a knee jerk reaction to try and and apply a tourniquet to the fast and furious scandal. They want to be able to say "no need to look at Obama, we are already taking care of the ATF scandal, its an ATF scandal, not an Obama scandal, nosiree bob..." Now, what this means for the process? I have no idea. But they are talking about limiting the ATF to the tax collecting it was originally set up to be, and letting the FBI take over the LE duties. Perhaps when they effectively dissolve the ATF, they will have the manpower to sign off on Form 4s, since they will no longer be able to kick in doors and shoot peoples dogs.
