suppressor in MN?

Hey fellas im new to this NFA stuff so bear with me. Im looking to buy a threaded barrel and some subsonic rounds for my FiveseveN but am unsure if suppressors are even legal in MN. I've heard they are from people and I've also heard they aren't. What's the real scoop on this? Also if they are legal what are the steps i need to take to procure a suppressor legally?

They are Illegal in MN, sadly, as per Minnesota statute 609.66 DANGEROUS WEAPONS

Subd. 1a.Felony crimes; silencers prohibited; reckless discharge.

(a) Except as otherwise provided in subdivision 1h, whoever does any of the following is guilty of a felony and may be sentenced as provided in paragraph (b):

(1) sells or has in possession any device designed to silence or muffle the discharge of a firearm;
