The other day I noticed my suppressor seems to be at an awkward angle on my pistol. I set it down on the table and it is very noticeable not on straight and instead angles towards the left.

I removed the thread nut that attaches the barrel to the suppressor and it is on properly, not cross threaded or stripped. I also took the suppressor apart and everything is good with that.

I did not notice this until firing about 10 rounds. No baffle strikes or stuck rounds so it is firing fin but is bothering me...AND I also noticed I cannot hit ANYTHING with the gun. I was shooting in my backyard and didn't have safe space to set up a target and adjust the rear sight but I suspect the suppressor being angled is part of the issue.

I am perplexed as to how it is not straight yet both the barrel and barrel adapter is on properly and not angled (from what I can tell) and how it is not causing baffle strikes.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Was this a form 1 suppressor or was it bought from a suppressor manufacturer? Does the suppressor sit like that on any other host gun?

I ask because I am curious if possibly the gun was poorly threaded or possibly the can was.

When you thread the silencer on to the adapter, does it go all the way to the shoulder or does it stop before the shoulder?

No it is a Silencerco Sparrow, it threads on fine to my 10/22.

I have screwed it on and shot it on my P22 before and never noticed it before. The thread adapter was on their ridiculously tight and took some heat from a heat gun to remove it. I screwed it back on and still its crooked. I ordered a new thread adapter to see if that fixes it. I have threaded on other things with the same pattern with no issues so threading is good.

It does shoulder at the end of the threads properly.

I do believe I figured it out. The barrel protector and threaded mount come together and overlap slightly. it appears as if at some point it had been tightened down while they were not made correctly which has resulted in both of them being slightly misshapen and causing them to connect not evenly. I'll have to purchase a new one and test it out but I'm positive that is the issue.

I have never had any issues with it outside of this.

But yes, many people seem to hate them.

True the Walther P22 gets very little love, but when you get a good one, its a really nice .22lr suppressor host, especially with the Sparrow. Mine has been as reliable as any of our other .22lr pistols (Ruger MkII, 22/45, Buckmark. Neos, S&W M22A) with bulk ammo.
