Does the length of a suppressor count towards the minimum barrel length under federal law (16" I think)? By this I mean, can you have a 10" barrel + 6" suppressor to reach the 16" barrel length?
My guess is that the suppressor does not count towards the barrel length unless the suppressor is permanently attached. I've seen 16" barrels that are integrally suppressed. It would make sense that permanently affixing a 6" suppressor to a 10" barrel would then add up to 16".
