Plan b appears to be right about the somewhat extended run time (post below) I've been trying to run mine down so as to put in fresh batteries and the 20 minute estimate seems conservative. Even with the 120 lumen lamp, this is a very usable amont of battery life.
The lenses of the G2z and the Z2 are now supposed to be pyrex which may prevent meltdown.
Is it worth it? Oh probably. The 60 lumen lamp wil prevent an adversary from seeing anything else on a dark night and should be the effective deterrent advertised. the 120 gives quite a long after-image on the retina. Either will light up a back yard very well and allow you to define your sights against a dark target. My combination is pretty ideal the 25 lumen E2e Outdoorsman has a 25 lumen bulb with 2.5 hours of constant runtime. TheSureFire people say it is better than a 2 d-cell light and they are understating the reality of it. the little 3.5" number makes an old 2-cell look sick by comparison and is and extremely useful utility light. It can be updated to 60 lumen with a 75 minute battery life. the pictured spares case is nicely made and tight enough for wet weather work.
