Does anyone have some experiences with this six lithium cell flashlight? It is puportedly a powerhouse with up to 500 lumen output at maximum power. Thanks, ED P.S. Anyone suggest a flashlight forum for this kind of question? Thanks

www.candlepowerforums.com is the best forum site for info on flashlights and other illumination devices.

I owned an M6 for a while - it was mostly a novelty light for me, something to pull out of the drawer to impress people with. :) I just couldn't get over the short 20 minute runtime with the full-power lamp. Sure, you can get a full hour out of the 250 lumen lamp, but that kind of defeats the purpose. Even with the new lower lithium battery prices, it's still costing a good $6/20 minutes to run.

I recently sold mine on ebay to help fund a SIG P220 Two-tone purchase. :)

M4 Devastator

My next Surefire will be the M4 Devastator. It has the larger long range head but uses only three batteries. Having a M3 and M2 the M4 is the right direction for a more powerful light for my special needs.

For various reasons I have three M6's...

I've been pretty much hooked on SureFire's LED lights for a while but whenever I want to see what a real flashlight is I use an M6. Worth every penny in both purchase and the SF123As it eats.

If I lost all my flashlights it would be the one I would replace first.

Insight Technologies is in my town! :D

Edit: Oh, wait, I thought you were talking about the UTL-style weapons lights.

The M6 is the SureFire M6! King of Flashlights :D

M6 = Millennium Series model that takes 6 (six) SF123A batteries.

There are a few other flashlight "M6" models - For example, Pelican has one but I see it referred to more often as the "PM6". Insight/Streamlight's M6 is the usually referred to as the "M-6"

M6 Guardian vs M3

The M-6 GUARDIAN is the Surefire and was the intended subject of my original post. I'd also like to hear pros and cons of the M-3 (also by Surefire). I just checked my piggy bank and might have to go for the M-3. Thanks, ED.

There are no cons with a Surefire

The M3 is a very good choice for someone in need of a very tough hardened combat flashlight it comes with a strike bezel. You also can make changes like adding a KL2 or KL6 LED head and positice on/off click tailcap. The Std.M3 come with two bulb Assy.s 125/225 Lumens giving 60/20 Min. run times.
