Am I the only one who is bothered by the fact that a US gun safe company has their safes built by Mexican convicts...?

I rather doubt the "cartel" will go after the guy. The guy reported it and the cartel realizes what happened and they will think it pointless to go after him.
The "deadman walking" who thought up the idea to stuff it in gunsafes as a way of transporting the stuff across borders, on the other hand ........

I think the guy who bought the safe protected himself from "visitation" by quickly calling the police.

If he had kept it quiet, they very well may have tried to track him down.

If he was in Colorado or Washington state, he could have just invited all of his friends over for a party
