I read a bit about them anyone know any more, I read the rip off report and I saw some odd stuff like a post from.....hold on is it just me or is THIS guy Gecko45?

Todd & Wendy sell nothing but top-notch equipment
In my line of work as a security technician, life and death depends not only on the amount of firepower at my disposal but also how reliable it is. I am proud to say that I use Todd and Wendy for all my weapon needs.

They sure came in handy two summers ago in Angola. I needed one hundred Hammicher-Schwaab HS187D's FedExed ASAP, as well as 10,000 rounds. They had them to me in two days, and when we were through with the rebels they didn't know what hit them. We made such an impact that all we had to do was say Todd and Wendy and the rebels threw up their hands in surrender.

The flight to Angola from the East coast would be over 12 hours alone. Add in shipping time, gathering time, loading time, inspection time, and the story falls apart immediately. You simply could not commercially ship any number of firearms for delivery within 2 days.

That product endorcement is total crap. Export licences take months not a couple of days. It's either a compleate fabrication by Special Weapons or one of their flunkies. Check them out further and you will see they are just a bunch of lowlifes who will screw you over to make a buck.

Special Weapons are the finest firearms on the planet today.
Ask any field operative with the CIA. Ask the Secret Service... you think they're using that POS FN P90? Hell no. Only Stargate uses that hunk o' junk. The Secret Service use the bullpup SW-19 in 8mm TODD (Tactical Objective Destructive Device), available in AP or HE modes. The tracers were short lived... since they tended to catch the magnesium barrels on fire.
Sissy-boys think HK's great, because it's in Counterstrike:banghead:. I've got news for you. Special Weapons' SW-5 was made fifteen years prior to HK's MP-5! And the SW-5 had impeccable reliability... the MP5 is widely regarded as an overweight jammamatic [redacted] German POS :banghead:. The SW-5 is half the weight. SW had to modify their magazines so operators wouldn't use the worthless HK mags, and have their guns jam as a consequence. SW makes its own drum mags for SW products which are used in the SAW role. Need a lot of firepower? Don't have a 240? Pop the drum in an SW gun and run it as long as you need. SW's unique recoil reduction means extreme accuracy and minimal muzzle flip.
Ever since France's GIGN got equipped by SW, Delta's been jealous. They've tried hundreds of different HK products, with the same, [redacted] results every time. HK's Mk23 takes a silencer? SW's Mk2 took a silencer and fired PIAT rounds from the underbarrel grenade launcher.
Export license? We don't need no steenkin' export license. The SpecOps/True Warrior community don't tolerate red tape. If I want to bring my [redacted] PIAT into a meeting of Parliament, I can do it. If I want to practice long-range shots with my SW-50 sniper rifle (2" groups at a thousand yards... and that's offhand), I can take Camp David anytime I please. If I need a safehouse? Cheney will leave his undisclosed location and make way for a real Operator.

As for Gecko45, you people should have some respect for a man that's saved more lives than penicillin. I thought this was The High Road.

Special Weapons is a horrible company that makes very poorly made firearms. The owner, Todd Bailey, is universally hated on the internet forums and is banned from most of the larger sites.

i've owned no less than three SW's in various flavors.

my recollection is that none of them performed without a f-t-f out of the box. i was initially told by my FFL (when they first came out, after a long anticipated wait) that the guns had tight clearances and needed to be "broken in" with hot ammo.

i was disappointed and parted with them after putting 1,000 break-in rounds through the last one i had (all with factory-fresh HK mags). this was just as the sw-bashing buzz was reaching a crescendo, before a flood of them were seemingly posted on ARFCOM for sale.

i am waiting to see if there are better quality clones coming on the market. I wonder how the Professional Arms clones:

i will say this ... based on my own personal experience, HKPRO's Tom Dresner strikes me as extremely knowledgeable, and a helluva nice guy to boot. he will be the first to point out HK's weaknesses.

We had two SW firearms at the indoor range I worked at. The SW45 would only work reliably with Wolf 45ACP ammo, (No, I never did figure THAT one out!), and would reliably shoot 3 inches left at 10 yards, no matter what. The SW5, was the single most dangerous pile of junk I ever fired - I would fire a 30 round mag, and get off 28 shots. The other two? FLOATING INSIDE THE TRIGGER HOUSING GROUP! They somehow popped out of the magazine down inside the trigger group, and no, I never figured that out, either. This did not happen once, or twice, but every single time the weapon was fired by me, and with all magazines supplied.
Both guns were sold at scrap prices after I left, and that range is now out of business. I would never have any SW firearm as a gift, much less pay hard earned cash for one.
