Has any one seen the S&W 1911? Have you fire one? It's the new single action from S&W.

I don't think they have hit the dealers yet. I have yet to find on locally or online.

I'm anxious to see one. From the photos, it looks like a nice piece, except for the big ugly roll mark. I'd prefer it without the front cocking serrations, but that's not a deal-breaker.

Anyone know what the projected street price is going to be?

Looks ugly with the roll mark, but might be different when it hits the streets...

From what I've read, the gun will be introduced at this years SHOT Show and made available later in the year. The pictures look "kimber-esque" but I'd bet also include a magazine disconnect Might be a nice base to start a project with depending on pricing.

From what I was told by my dealer they were going for about 700.00 or so. But dont like that rollmark

For 700 dollars I'd get a Kimber or a Springfield Loaded pistol! That seems a little high for a S&W entry 1911 with such ugly roll marks.

It can be the Glock of 1911's heheheh
