I bought a new S&W SW99 in 9mm back in the summer, but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. It came with two 16rd. mags, original sights, and night sights already installed.

I made a trade on this pistol, but it had a 459.00 price tag.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else has this particular model?

I was looking for a Glock or XD, but really liked the SW99. Any info on this pistol would be appreciated.

I got my SW99 for $439 new at a gun show in Nov 2005.

I've had opportunity to shoot a couple SW99's and they were both nice shooters. Go out & get your gun dirty! ;)
Oh, welcome to the board :D

I got the SW99 in .40 S&W. It's my favorite gun. It's a great shooter and extremely accuracte right out of the box. I've never had a malfunction and it shoots any brand of ammo.

You got a great gun there. Now go out and shoot that thing!:)

I was wanting a Walther P99 AS but they've been hard to find, didn't like that the decocker remained on the QA but took the gun out of action if pressed until the slide is partially retracted. Didn't want the DAO at all.

Then I learned the SW99 came in .45ACP and it had the DA/SA system like the AS model. Jumped on a good used one at a gun show for $375, very nice shooting gun, happy to add it to my collection.

I have been on a SW99 kick for the past couple of months. I bought a Walther p99 in .40 and a SW99 in both 9mm and .45. These guns are great and the Smiths can be had for dirt cheap. The fit in the hand really nice.

I don't own one but I think its one of the best guns on the market if not THE best. I just absolutely love the ergonomics and features. Its just an amazing weapon. Good choice. Now go heat that thing up.
