It’s not incredibly difficult to pull a yoke on a model 10, and parts are fairly cheap and easy to get so I’m wondering if it might make sense to do a swappable cylinder assembly in 9mm and possibly even in .357. I might even consider one in .380acp. Has anybody done a swap assembly? I know timing will likely be the biggest issue, especially maintaining timing for 2 or more cylinders.

It would be a lot of work and hand fitting to get multiple cylinders to fit one gun. Also not a good idea to step up in pressure ranges, a mod 10 from 38 spec to 357 would work but the pressures would quickly stretch the frame.

The forcing cone would likely have to filed down to accommodate the 357 cylinder and by doing so the 38 cylinder would no longer work with the gun. I reamed the cylinder on my model 10 to accept 357. I’m not saying you can do it, only that I did it.
