...At last, I know the secret of it allllllll. :p Okay, this doesn't have anything to do with that, but maybe you'll get an idea of how thrilled I am. :)

FINALLY, for the first time in about 4 months, I got to go shooting yesterday. What's more, It was the first time I have had a chance to shoot my FEG Hi Power with the new slide on it.

Firstly, the Range Report: I was a bit worried about how accurate the gun would be with the new slide, because I've never adjusted fixed sights before. However, I didn't have to -- it proved to be very accurate.

I fired 143 rounds, consisting of 100 PMC 115-gr FMJs, and 43 115-gr LRN handloads.

Reliability with the PMC cartridges was 100%, but I'm still doing something wrong with my handloading... I am pretty sure that I'm not seating the bullets deep enough, because the bullets that jam up the gun have "chamber markings" on the slug, so about half of them refused to go into battery under their own power. I had to force the action closed on those ones.

When I get my CCW, I've decided that I'll carry factory ammunition exclusively.

I shot an equal amount of regular ring-targets and silhouette targets (the ones I used can be printed off of www.makarov.com). My warm-up targets weren't anything to brag about, but after I'd warmed up, I had the best shooting I've ever had, to date.

Here is one of my silhouettes:

In closing, I'd like to thank everyone here who has helped me with my "accuracy problems" in the past. :D

Dry firing makes the difference!

Wes
