No, but if you find one, remember to post it here. I think we had some discussion of Wilkinson on the "Swords" thread here lately, and they were still making a high-quality version, but that wouldn't be a U.S. source. The only ones I've ever seen were the cheap Pakistani-made United Cutlery junk (I've got one of those somewhere--so sue me!)

It's actually spelled "Fairbairn," I believe. That might help you if you're searching on the internet. Beyond that I can't be much help.

Last fall, Brigade Quartermasters was selling two versions of the original FS knife. One was the first pattern with the "S" guard, checkered brass handle, and bright finish. The second was the second pattern straight guard with checkered brass handle and black finish.

Both had the original acid etched "FS" logo on the blades.

These were made by an original British maker, and were authorized by the Fairbairn family. Quality appeared to be VERY high, not the current cheap junk.

You might check with Brigade to see if they still offer these.

I have one of the second pattern knives from Brigade Quartermasters. Beautiful dark black to deep reddish-brown finish. Has the FS logo on the blade and W.E. Fairbairn signature also on the blade. Paid $140 and waited 6 months for delivery. Was definitely worth the wait.

If you purchase one with the intention of actually using it, let us know how it holds up. A properly forged/ground and heat treated blade is critical on a F/S dagger. The design is prone to snapping at the tip and also at the tang/blade junction. The cheap-o versions are, of course, more prone to do so. This, and several other shortcomings, is why the Applegate-Fairbairn knife was originally designed. F/S is a sexy design though, and combinded with a copy of "Get Tough" makes a nice display.

Applegate-Fairbairn Fighting Knives

The AF-11 and AF-12 Applegate-Fairbairn by Boker are very nice knives. We have them at our site; and they are available from many vendors. Prices are all over the place, and ours are not the lowest (but are significantly discounted).

But, we would be happy to have check our site, anyway, if you wish.
