T/C Contender Barrel Choices?

I have a new T/C G2 Contender
It's frame only with grips/forestock

I am considering barrels in Calibers:

.22 LR - 12" T/C Iron SIghts
---> Economy - Teach Grandkids plinking...
7-30 Waters 14" - Tapped/Drilled for Scope Mount
---> Mile Recoil/Very Accurate / Hunting up to Whitetails
.45 COlt/.410 GA w/Adj. Choke Vent RIb
---> Practical Versatile

Not all barrels at once maybe add one a year...

Any others w/Contender experience care to comment?

.223 is fun out of a short barrel.

I have an older contender. Two barrels. The .223 super 14" is more accurate than ANY rifle I own!!! Amazing and death personified on vermin. The other is a 30-30 super 14" with which I have taken many whitetail from 5 up to 175 yards with handloads. It will do <1" all day also.

My other one (IF I had it) would be a 45-70! THEN I'd have it ALL covered!

Factory barrel I'd pick up a 223, very accurate and fairly cheap to shoot. But if you wanna get wild, here's my current favorite rig.

That's a custom 6tcu barrel made by OTT, and here's a 3 shot group from 200yrds I shot yesterday.

Of your three choices, I have the 14" 7-30 Waters and recoil is mild and, with handloads, it is extremely accurate. I own other barrels, but not in your choices.

Instead of the 7-30 Waters, I would just get the 30-30 barrel. I have both the 10" and a carbine in 16" in 30-30 and they are both accurate. I don't believe TC makes an adjustable choke for the .410 contender. The "choke" is actually just a straight rifled tube to reduce the spinning shot charge.
