T/C Contender G1 or G2 Stocks difference

Thats quite a haul. I'm pretty sure the grips are all for a G1 but I'm not sure about the rifle stock. That looks kind of like a Stocky's stock for an Encore, but the action inletting looks like its for a G1 contender.

That stock is a beauty. I would like to find one that pretty for my contender. I don’t know what it takes to be lucky enough to run into an estate like that, but I hope you got some other contender goodies (especially barrels)

No barrels or action. Apparently the sister inherited everything and her stepson made off with a bunch of guns.
He was ignorant and not interested in the reloading room. I bought the entire contents of the room and found the contender stocks in and old video camera case.
It was for sure a lucky score for me. It took me and my son 2 days and 3 pickup truck loads full including the bed and extended cab to move everything.

These look Contender-ish, but I am no expert. If you end up with some unneeded Contender stuff, send a PM.

Nice haul!

Middle grip is what’s on my g1. The one on the left looks like the more desirable g1 grip. The one on the right I’m not so sure about. The long forend Looks like one of the newer designs for the super 14/16 or possibly carbine. The short forend is what shipped with most 10 and 12 inch barreled guns.

I don't think they ever made the rubber backed or thumbrest grip for the G2 so I'm 95% sure they are for a G1 contender. The longer forend likely has two screw holes for a 12 or 14" barrel, and the shorter one would have one screw hole for a 10" barrel. The carbine forend has a different screw spacing than the 12 and 14" barrels as well just to make it more complicated. I don't get why they did that but whatever.

But on a 10” the rear hole lines up when using a forend for a 14/16. Thats my setup. Kinda like a Mannlicher stock setup on a pistol.

the three hand grips will fit any g1 or g2 frames. the longer forend is for the super 14 barrel and should fit a 12 inch barrel. the small/short forend is for the 10 inch barrel. now the rifle stock set, i just don't know. the fore end looks like for the 10 inch barrel. you will have to mate the rifle stock to a g1/g2 frame to see. the pacmar forends are for 10 inch barrels and there is one super 14 forend in the bunch. contender made many different styles of grips for the g1/g2 frames.

The buttstock and matching forearm are definitely for an Encore.
The lobe on the rear of the forearm is the first clue.
The holes in the forearm's barrel channel (although not shown) don't have a countersink cutout to accommodate the contender's dovetail threaded pillar, do they?
Encore 12 and 15" bbls use two screws to mount forearm..
The encore's forearm screws threads directly into a drilled and tapped barrel.
Note: The threads for contender forearm are 10-32 and for the Encore are 8-40
You made a great score!
Congrats
