OK, I should know the answer to this one...... (but I don't)

Is it possible to convert a T/C Hawken from Flint to percussion (and vice-versa)
by simply swapping Barrel and Lock Assemblies?

Sure would save me a few $$$ and save precious room in my vault.

Don't know how your rifle is built so I'm not sure. I have a poor boy .32 which converts back and forth without changing barrels. It has a drum and nipple which can be removed and replaced with a threaded vent. Change the lock plate from percussion to flint and it's a flintlock.

Many, many flintlock rifles were converted to percussion by drilling out and threading the vent, then installing a drum and nipple. Most of those had the lockplate modified permanently to percussion. Today with the easy availability of replacement parts, if you wanted to buy a separate percussion lock, a threaded vent and a drum and nipple, you could have a convertible rifle without an extra barrel. Those three parts store smaller than a barrel and you need the space for more guns.

I think I need to clarify,

I have a factory original percussion T/C Hawken 50. Would like to buy a Flint barrel and Lock to drop in the percussion stock.

Is there direct conversion interchangeability to a Flint simply by changing out both barrel and Lock, or is the Barrel/Stock/Lock configuration different?

From what I understand, the stock needs some modification to accept the flint lock, but I don't know if it can readily be converted back to the percussion lock or not.
