Tac Star pressure switch end cap.
Model PSEC-2 this will fit into Tac-Star T-6 and Surefires 6 P, C-2, C-3< G-2, etc.
I ordered this switch from Midsouth Shooters Supply, for $14.73, but paid a little over $20.00 with shipping and handling.

I tried for fit in a Tac-Star T-6 and several others flashlights will fit in the Surefire 6-P, 9-P, G-2, the Aim-Shot Nova, and the Pelican M-6.

I mounted it in a Maadi 7,62 by 39mm using a long Weaver base for the Marlin 336 and male and female Velcro, and a Weaver 1” ring to hold the flashlight. I used the Surefire G-2 to keep the cost down in the cheap rifle.
I augmented the holding power of the Velcro with two rubber bands.
I have used this mounting set up before in a Remington 742 in 30-06, so I know for sure that it will stay put.
My favorite flashlight for this application is the TACM III that comes also with the remote cord switch. That light output is 115 lumens and is a real thrower. But this time I want to make something really inexpensive that is why I used the Surefire G-2.

The switch appears to be really well made, and it was functioning well except for the excessive force required to switch the light on.
I measured that in a scale and it was a little over ten pounds to activate the light, too much in my opinion for mere mortals without the Schwarzenegger build.

I could have lived with it, but I do find another more important problem, when holding the light on for 15 or 20 seconds the switch becomes so hot that it burns your fingers!!
So I guess my unit is defective and I will be sending it back.

I will give you an update when I get the replacement switch.

Guys, this is fallow up on the switch,
I sent the defective unit to the Importer, Tac Star (also Lyman Products)
475 Smith Street
Middletown Ct 06457

And they send me a new unit in four days.
The new unit works perfectly, the pressure to activate the switch is fine, and it is not need for me to put it on the scale as I don't have any problem with it.

For the price this is a very well made unit, I tested it again in my AK and it works perfectly all the time.

If you use my mount system with Velcro on the Forearm of a rifle, using the inexpensive Weaver base for the Marlin 336 or the Remington 7400, and one Weaver ring. together with a G-2 you can have a light weapon system for about $70.00
You can also secure the Weaver base using screws and epoxie, in that case is not need to use the long base and an inexpensive Weaver base #45 will serve, as you can see them in this picture.
