So, it is known that there are tons of tactial lights on the market. I am familiar with the quality and durability of Surefire.

My question is, what is the quality of the Streamlight products. How do they hold up when they are weapon mounted? What is their overall durability?

So, this is for the people that have used Streamlight only. I appreciate, but am not asking for opinions on any other brands...just Streamlight.

Thanks everyone

I had an M3X on my 11.5" AR for a while. It worked OK but was not particularly bright for what I wanted, so I switched to a Surefire M500A.

The Streamlight is now on my brothers 870 and he's happy with it.

As for durability, neither of us bang the things around often so I couldn't say.

I was CERTAINLY happier with the price of the Streamlight than Surefire.

I use a Streamlight Scorpion on my Beretta Storm

And have zero problems. But then it is low recoil (9mm) so it might make a difference if you use it on some kicking mule! :D

Were you run into problems is with the batteries and the bulb. The batteries must be buffered and the problem with the bulb is it must be able to withstand alot of shock, most dedicated lights have this. While some lights will work in a limited use scenario they may not last under heavy use.
Go with a light that is designed for heavy use and is bright enough, use enough light :D
