I REALLY want one of those collapsable stocks made for the m16 on my winchester 1300. If Im correct they only make the conversion kits for mossberg and remmy. ATI makes one for the winchester but I've gotten a couple accessories already from ATI and the quality is poor at best. Are there any other companies out there that I wont find by simply googling "tactical shotgun stocks"??

Thanks

How about the Knoxx SpecOps stock? M16 looks. Supposedly amazing recoil reduction. Adjstable LOP, and available for the Winchester. Downsides are that it doesn't appear to be out yet and looks very spendy.

Never used any of their products myself, but a they have a rep that visits the forum who could tell you more.

I have to admit, since finding out about the Knoxx SpecOps stock, I'm kind of interested.
I want to teach my girlfriend to shoot my 590A1, this seems like it could fit the bill - length of pull adjustment (had her hold my shotgun already, fits me not her) and if the recoil reduction works, big plus since she hasn't ever fired a shotgun.

I had that idea about my 590 as well, but I'm concerned about safety operation. Pistol grip + tang safety seems very awkward. Is there a mod or MOA adjustment for the safety?

Funny you should say that, I thought the same thing. I guess it's a give and take type thing. No mod that I know of. I think with practice, and more practice you could get used to the safety issue and deploy the shotgun fairly quickly regardless.

My thoughts aren't set in stone yet if I'm going to buy one of these or not. I bought the 590 because it came from the factory exactly how I wanted it set up. (Other than some sort of light mount which I'm still deciding on.)

Actually, the cost of the adaptor, collapsable stock (comparable to the one in the photo - cheapest I've seen is $50), and pistol grip will likely be at least $100 and could end up being more than the Knox offering depending upon the manufacturer. This stock also has some sort of recoil buffer in it, so for $130, I'd say it's a pretty decent deal. I'd like to have one of these on my Mossberg 500. Sadly, these guys are having major production problems and have yet to ship the first one (which was promised in March, IIRC). I'll buy one if they make it to production (they say they already have several thousand pre-orders).

Many people I've talked to who've actually put pistol grip buttstocks on the Mossbergs have either went back to the standard buttstock or say they are considering precisely for this reason.

Thank you for posting that link.

I'd like to add that the link refers to our current High-tube adapter that mimics the AR-15 geometry but which also requires the top rail as illustrated.

Next week we will finally begin shipping our Low-tube adapters with the same features as the High-tube but no need for a rail.

Can you provide some info on that low-mount adapter? Pic maybe? One thing that has prevented me from buying thus far is that I have no need for a rail.

Greg

Basically, they are the same as our High-tube Adapters, except we have lowered the stock elevation by about an inch and eliminated the top rail mount point.

This is an early prototype:

They are compatible with telescoping style stocks that do not require the lower indexing dimple. The kit will include a custom end plate that indexes above the receiver extension tube.
