One of the newspapers here broke the story, and then quickly canned it after the CIA requested it to be..

<trying my best to not use a cuss word...>

Brief background:
Some of the people who was the liason for the purchasing of arms from the US for Taiwan, was thought to have been selling arms, arms technology, and information to China. Taiwan knew it, and so wanted to arrest him and try him for treason, he would be tried for treason, terrorism, aiding and abedding the enemy etc..
The CIA however, didn't want this guy captured yet, as they wanted to find out how this guy was contacting the enemy, who he was selling the stuff to, (trying to capture the bigger fish by following the smaller fish).

<Insert Stupidity here>

The guy found out, both governments were on to him... They arrested him, but let him post bail ..... SO....

He #1) Changed his name. (The government was aware of this, but oops forgot to update the Customs database at the airport...)

#2) Got something like 20 credit cards in a month, max'ed them out buying things, and then sold it all for cash.

#3) Sold his 2 houses.

#4) Unregistered his daughter from school...

Then, one bright morning, the guy disappeared. (what a surprise!! :barf: )

To where? Nobody knows. America has sent 2 CIA agents to Taiwan to handle this case specifically.

Thus far, only 1 taiwanese newspaper has carried the story, and absolutely NOTHING on the internet about it.. :cuss: :cuss:

I'm FUMING right now.. The stupidity of the Taiwanese government, and the CIA, just amazes me to no ends.

BTW.. in case you wondered, Treason is a bullet to the back of the head here in Taiwan. Aiding the enemy is a bullet to the back of the head. Selling information to known enemies is a bullet to the back of the head. Selling arms to unfriendly countries is a bullet to the back of the head.

From what I can gather from the newspaper, the Taiwanese government should have about 50 rounds lined up for the back of this guy's head, but he and his entire family are GONE...

:cuss:

This is "terrorism security" at its very best...

BTW.. selling arms to unfriendly countries classifies you as a terrorist. I'm ok with that...

I didn't see anything that said this man was convicted of a single crime.
But alas, if two governments and a newspaper said it was so it must be. Right?
Who needs a court of law. It just muddles up the execution process.

He wasn't convicted (yet), he was arrested and charge, (how bail was set is beyond me)

And do you REALLY want a known traitor on the loose? He's selling arms to China... To me, that's enough to fry the guy..
