Talk me out of a 75B Compact 9mm

I took a bite of the CZ apple when I recently got my SS 75B. Now, I find myself voraciously reading up on the 75B Compact 9mm. Even though not stainless (wish it were), the nickel version sure looks nice, and is tempting. Is it really small enough to carry on a daily basis? Thoughts appreciated. Don
 
Sweet gun. Owned one. Heavy. Great shooter. Grip wants to slip more in the hand than the full size. Needs front strap checkering IMO.
 
Talk yourself out of it....Maybe.

Consider a PCR and P-01 in addition to the 75 Compact. The PCR is pretty close to a 75B in looks and is lighter to carry.

I don't think there is a bad choice of the 3.
 
Yeah, if you want to carry, the PCR which is the lightweight, alloy framed Compact is the way to go. I've had one for twelve years and it is my main carry gun.
 
being able to carry it really just depends on the person, I carry a full sized 75b with no problems so for me the compact would be a breeze. But if you only carry plastic guns and then go to an all steel gun it's going to fell really heavy.
 
The only reason to NOT buy a CZ 75 compact is if you can find a better deal on a P-01 or a PCR. I own and carry (in an IWB holster made for a sig P229) a PCR and it's probably the gun I shoot best with, slightly better than with my full sized CZs. The PCR has a lighter alloy frame, rubber grips, a decocker rather than a safety, and lower profile 'snag free' rear sights. The P-01 is similar to both the PCR and the compact but it has an accessory rail, but I don't own one and don't know as much about them.
 
I had one but sold it to help finance the purchase of another gun. It's built like a tank but a bit heavy on the belt at the end of the day. For me, the reach for the trigger was a bit long when fired in double action and had a long take up on the trigger when shot in single action. Initially, the trigger was a bit gritty but it smoothed out after a while. The safety was too far forward on the frame and I had to reach around the gun to release it. The up side was that it was very reliable, accurate and easy to maintain. I'm not bashing the gun. I think CZ makes a fine firearm. What I've written is a fair assessment of my experience with it.
 
I have a pair and they have been good reliable pistols. Wish they made them with an aluminum frame.
 
They do make them with an aluminum frame. The CZ-75D PCR, and P-01. They also make polymer framed guns.
 
Well this is easy -- DON'T BUY IT OR BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN!:evil: (you asked) Seriously though, I have never run into a problem with a CZ although mine are now in other hands.:(
