So i am curious about this round now that The Sprinfield XD is going to be chambered in it.

Can someone please point me in a direction as to where i can find good information on this round?

Thanks

I was a big naysayer initially, but the round has grown on me. Heck, what can I say I went and got a Glock 37, now I am starting to reload for the thing-go figure. Anyway there is alot of good stuff on the following links. It really makes sense when you look at the potential advantages. One side note, the .45 GAP now has about 9 or 10 factory loads available. This momentum is much more brisk than the .357 Sig at this same interval following its intro. Here ya go:

does anyone know of any online sources for this round? i have yet to find any in the shops near me. and it wouldn't be a good idea to get an XD .45 GAP i can't acquire the ammo easily.

All these new calibers make my head spin. I have a feeling that in order to compete, 1911's are gonna have to start coming from the factory in .45Super configuration and the ACP brass is gonna have to get alot stronger.

Colt will probably stick their heads in the sand.

:D

That was hilarious! Thanks for the link!

I actually think the GAP is pretty neat. I love 45 ACP, but from what I am hearing and reading it sounds like 45 GAP will give us the same performance in some firearm platforms that were unavailable before. Now I pretty much believe the 1911 is perfection...

;)

but now and then stray to other types of guns. An XD in 45 GAP might be interesting. Until the round can be found in shops with ease, I will hold off. I have enough scarce cartridges to support with 10mm, 38 Super, and 357 Sig.
