Talks of bans

Now that the Democrats control the House, Senate, and presidency, people are fearful (rightfully so) that there will be bans on guns, ammo, and related accessories (magazines, reloading components, etc).

If bans do come to fruition, I think a possible response would be for certain items to be repurposed. What I mean is that those metal things with springs, followers, and floor plates that are used to hold ammunition for our guns could possibly be manufactured with the intent to be used as and sold as heavy duty candy dispensers. I’m sure many people would really crave candy when heading to the range. Perhaps if reloading components are banned, the ammo manufacturers could flood the fishing industry with lots of copper jacketed lead sinkers of various weights and designs, including the hydrodynamic boat tail variety? What consumers do with those candy dispensers and sinkers is on them.

I am not advocating disobedience of any current laws nor do I condone breaking any laws that might be implemented. Instead, I’m trying to highlight the slippery slope and possible difficulties the government may encounter should politicians (politicians, not leaders) decide to infringe upon the 2A.

I have this placed in the legal forum so our legal experts can weigh in on and provide some examples and highlight relevant cases that may set a precedent in favor of or in opposition to the banning of certain items.
