For you Tampa Bay locals, what are the better gun stores in the area...with a decent handgun inventory?

Thanks in advance.

University gun and pawn on Fletcher (or fowler, they run parrallel) Av. just west of Bruce B. Downs has the biggest selection. Dont let the name fool you, its all about guns.
Central firearms on Osborn Rd. just north of MLK on Dalemabry Hwy. it on the west side of the Hwy. is ok.

Where's the spell check on this thing?

University is on Fletcher ave. and is a good place for pistols. They always have quite a few in stock. A-1 pawn on Hillsborough ave. east of Dale Mabry is also a good place. The 2 City Pawn Shops on Hillsborough east of I-275 also has some pistols but the people there are clowns and the neighborhood is bad.

Brandon, east of Tampa, has 2nd Amendment Armory on Hwy. 60 behind the Value Pawn.

In the Fall, Shoot Straight will be opening a store on Hwy. 301 south of Martin Luther King. They always have a very large selection of pistols at the gun shows here.

In Pinellas Co. I'd recommend Kastle Keep they're on Ulmerton Rd. in Largo. Good people, good selection. I've spent more money there than I'd like to admit.

Bill Jackson's, Wain Roberts, and Knight's Shooting Sports have smaller selections and higher prices.

If you're looking for mil-surp. rifles/parts/mags you may want to check out Mark Kube's, also located in Largo on Ulmerton Rd.

I'd second the votes for University Gun and Pawn and Kastle Keep...they both have some of the larger inventories around. But, don't plan on going to University Gun and Pawn on a weekend since they ship out over 90% of their inventory to the gun shows around the state.

There are a lot of places around, if you make it to one of the shops they will more then likely have a little magazine (can't remember the name of it) that is printed locally and sponsored by many of the local gun shops...there is a list in the back of it with the names, addresses and phone numbers of local shops.

Kind of hard to find, but Florida Ammo Traders is run by a good bunch, and Serbu Firearms is right next door if you'd like a good .50BMG.

It's mostly surplus, and one heck of a collection of full autos. Don't let the location fool you, Phil is a good guy, he just operates out of a little bitty machine shop area. It's actually a whole stretch of rented industrial buildings, F.A.T is around back.

Patriot Arms on south side of hwy 60 in brandon. Just west of Lithia Pinecrest Road.

In Clearwater, check out Deer Hunter Guns on Gulf To Bay, across from Hooters.
