Ok, did a search but did not find anything. What is the brass that Hornady's TAP ammo is using? I seen that it is black nickle. Can you buy this for reloading or is it just like the leverevolution bullets that will not be released to the public? Thanks...

I've loaded them without problem. They're brass, with a black coating similar to anodizing. If you leave them in the tumbler too long, it comes off..........

Hope this helps.

Actually, they look like nickel plated cases to me, with a black coating. I accidentally polished some for about 12 hours, and all the black stuff came off and they just look like nickel plated cases now.

I was told they are black nickle, but not sure. I was hoping to get a few to play with and maybe make some of my hunting loads in these. Kind of different and they look pretty cool. :)

Well he promised me a picture of the sub 2 inch groups he's going to fire from 1000 yards . . . .so I couldn't resist. :)
