Unless over-compressed to start with, staying compressed does not wear out a good magazine spring.
Using it and cycling it is what wears it out.
Kind of like leaving your car parked in the driveway.
Do you put it up on blocks every night to take the cars weight off of the springs?
If you never drove the car, the springs would never wear out from the car setting on them either.
Your AK mags, downloaded a few rounds, should still be good to go 100 years from now.
