Ok I have a 10/22 that currently sports a T6 stock w/AR sights on it, forearm grip, etc. The main purpose for this gun is a tactical trainer for my M4s (I know the controlls are not the same) and its a fun plinker. Ive been considering going with an Archangel stock for it for the training purpose. I really dont know if I want to spend $200 for the Archangel and cant find one uesed any where (even here at THR). It all boils down to this. Should I stick with the T6 or buy the Archangel and try to sell the T6?

Personally I wouldn't touch the Promag "archangel" without being paid at least 6 figures for doing so.

You could get a .22 LR conversion unit (CMMG or Spike's Tactical) and a couple mags for under $200 and then your M4 controls and trigger and sights and... almost everything would be the same as when shooting your M4.

Otherwise I would stick with the T6 you already have.

Both the CMMG and Spike's conversions get excellent reviews. The Ceiner seems to get more mixed reviews. Either way, it's little enough money that you could take a small chance considering that the ammo cost would pay for it in less than a case of use.

I've handled the Archangel.

It is, in every way, as cheap and chintzy as everyone says.:barf:

In short, of the two options you gave, I would stick with the T6. A better way to go would be as others have suggested--a conversion kit.

Its incredibly tacky and cheezy that they named their conversion "Archangel"

Also its touted as being "battle ready" whatever that means... I guess when the squirrels attack.

I guess it was destined to be terrible just on name alone.

Why is the music from Napoleon Dynamite suddenly playing in my head?

Yea, avoid the "archangel." It is cheezy and flimsy and fake. It'd be like all those "rice boyz" that put spoilers, nitrous and noizy exhaust on their girlfriend's Honda Civic. I'd look at the conversions. Sell your current .22 if you need funds.

I think I may go with a CMMG stainless sometime. However I will never sell any firearms. I just cant part with any of them. They are addictive! ricebasher I can see by your name and simile you do not like rice rockets :D.

Punisher, I too cannot bear to part with any of my guns. Not even a .22.

And yes, you've drawn a savvy conclusion regarding my taste in automobiles...
