I see that in the last post for target scope reccomendations the weaver T36 was brought up. How does this scope compare in the competition world? How much better are the Leupold Competition scopes in comparison to these? What would you guys define as the best "target" not hunting scopes out there.

Keep in mind that I am not taking price into consideration but I am leaning toward the T36 as a valid option. Is there really a superior scope to this? or are the other target scopes going to be over-rated?

Thanks,

First, I have a serious problem with mounting a $700 scope on a $300 rifle.

I have three Weaver T-36 scopes, and I'm very pleased with all of them. They are target scopes, and the Leupold, Zeiss, and other high end scopes may be brighter in low light, but I don't target shoot in low light. My T-36's are clear, sharp, and consistant.

This is a very subjective topic, and personal taste, vision, and cosmetics, will all enter into the final decision.
