Target Shooting :)

Anything aimed at a reactionary target--e.g. steel poppers, spinners, silhouettes, clay targets etc.. :) I love to hear and see immediate feedback. It would be hard for me to choose one gun, since there are many options for reactionary targets.

Usually whatever is the cheapest I can find that suites the purpose. I have used those fluorescent price stickers you buy in bulk stuck on a pc of copy paper.

Once I bought a deer archery target and cut it out and traced it onto sheets of cardboard, works really well in that it is life sized.

I do like the shoot n see targets though, easier to see at 100yds with the 223.

Just for clarity you did ask what is the favorite gun to shoot not he favorite target to shoot at????

Mine is my model 10, S&W 4 inch. Smooth as glass and accurate.

But target shooting is really all I use it for anymore although 25 years ago it was my first leo duty weapon.

I really don't have a favorite. I like to target shoot with all my guns.

I probably shoot S&W J Frames about as much as anything.

Recently I've been shooting the pistols from 50 yards at a 24 inch square steel plate. Saves having to change paper targets.:)

The last "gun" I shot, was a plastic water pistol in the hand of a "scarecrow" criminal.
It was the only "good" target presentation I had, for this set up.

Fun: New deal is trying to shoot through a Lifesaver candy with a .22 handgun.
It used to be jelly beans set out "umpteen bazillion yards" by the kids.
Now...I make a complete fool of myself missing Lifesavers. *fun though*

Shotguns and fun:
Clays of course, plus folks hitting a golf ball with a 7 iron and shooting these...

I still like shooting tin cans off a "fence" with a handgun or rifle...

M2 Browning Heavy Machine Gun, from the TC hatch of my old M113.

Good times...

Or my current love, a Browning BLR in .243, that's nice, too.

My single-shot Remington 514 .22 that my oldest brother gave me when I was 10 or so. Of all my guns, that one gives me the most grins.

M249 w/ ACOG. Hee Hee Hee 3-5 rds bursts at 800m targets.

Mk-19 Hee Hee Hee Makes big boom.

Of the guns I own

Ruger Mk77. There's something a lot of fun about long range shooting.
Marlin .444 Lever gun. Pretty much makes everyone at the indoor range stop and look.

I'm working on buying a BOHICA upper for one of my AR lowers. I strongly suspect that will become my favorite when completed.

Anything that goes bang

The bigger the bang the better but in honesty most of my shooting is the 22. It keeps me sharp for all the boomers when I do shoot them and its affordable. If I had to choose just one gun it would be the S&W M41 22 pistol.

I actually shoot bullseye competition:

High Standard .22lr Citation
Giles Colt .38 Special M1911
Colt .45acp Series 70 M1911 wadcutter gun.

All are equipped with 1" UltraDots.

For club sponsored D/A revolver matches:

S&W .38 Special Model 14
S&W .45acp Model 25-2
