Can anyone tell me the eye relief?

This is an older model Tasco, not one of the newer.

Is eye relief a measurable spec for a scope?
Too many variables for each user.
Shooter's body shape and vision, the shooting technique employed, the gun it will be mounted on, the stock configuration, 'etc, 'etc.

All scopes have eye relief listed in their specs. I just can't find the specs for this Tasco due to it not being manufactured for many years.

Guess I never noticed.
I always just mounted them so I could clearly see the reticle (without being too close on rifles) and let it go at that.

Thanks for the info.

I found an ad on ebay for the older 30mm tube Pro Class and it states 14"-17".

I needed longer so I guess I am going to have to go Weaver.

To add to the confusion, for those who have a near sighted problem, would the eye relief specification only be accurate when wearing corrective eye glasses?

Eye relief is still the same, you would just have to focus the reticle using the adjustable eye piece.

I have an older Tasco 2 power pistol scope like you mentioned. It has been mounted on a couple different Contender barrels since the early eighties. Eye relief, while I never measured it,is fine for any normal handgun use. I am six feet in height and normal in arm length. As far as the corrective lenses thing,I can't see the scope, much less my target without them. If you have found that scope for a good price,I would say buy it based on my experience. It's not as good as my Leupolds, but a good deal for a low price.

That seems awfully short. I've had one for 20yrs and never had any eye relief issues. For a Tasco, these are really good scopes.
