I was looking at a nice, used Taurus 145 Mill.Pro last night night. If any of you own one, what do you think of it? Is it reliable, hard recoil, accurate?
Also, I have lots of rounds of 230gr. lead round nose ammo. Can you shoot lead through these, or should I stick with copper coated stuff?

I have a Gen 3 PT145 Mil Pro and enjoy it.

It's got a fair amount of recoil, but that's to be expected in a polymer (read light weight), short barreled .45. 10+1 of .45, GREAT ergonomics and decent fit and finish make it a good value in a pistol.

It IS a Taurus, so it's nowhere near the quality of HK, Sig etc, but for the price, it's a good value in a gun.

Mine's been pretty good. There was a brief but somewhat troublesome breakin period, but now it's completely reliable. I've only shot copper jacketed stuff through mine, so I don't know about lead round nose. I like mine and carry it nearly every day. It's tough to beat it's ergonomics, size, light weight, and 10+1 round capacity, especially for the price. Recoil is punishing for much more than 100 rounds at a time. Honestly. But it's alot of fun to shoot. The gun is very acccurate. I can put rounds in a 3" pattern or smaller unsupported from about 7 yards quite easily, and can punch touching holes with a slower, more careful aim.
