I just bought my 24/7 Pro 40 caliber yesterday...Have not been able to shoot it...Got to wait that damm week before I can pick it up...
I will let you all know how it shoots when I can shoot it <G>....

Get some snap caps and work the trigger while watching tv. The trigger on mine was a bit rough but hours with snap caps smoothed it right out.

Enjoy

lennyjoe- u had the original 24/7 not the pro right? im intersted to hear what the trigger on this one is like. shouldnt need smoothing with a short pull.

A week? Hopefully having a concealed weapons permit in AL allows one to circumvent any waiting period or handgun permit as is does here in NC.

I was tickled when I stopped by the Sheriffs office to apply for a handgun permit a few days ago only to be told I didn't need one.

However, I'm sure your new acquisition will be well worth the wait.
I've been looking hard at Taurus's 24/7 series for some time now.

HAS THE 24/7 PRO CAME IN YET?? WAS WONDERING HOW THE TRIGGER WAS ON IT?

-SNOWDOG, I THINK THAT WE ARE PRETTY CLOSE TO EACH OTHER. WHAT RANGE DO YOU SHOOT AT?

Yes got the Pro and the trigger is smooth as silk..I love it..
As far as waiting a week...I do have CCW but it seems like all retired military types have to wait a week for some odd reason..
I just ordered a PT145 Milenium Pro Stainless...Also am looking at ordering the PT1911 Stainless..

I just traded into a Taurus PT 24/7 PRO in .40 S&W today, and thought I'd share my own impressions.

It is an interesting little beast. Stainless slide and polymer frame with Heine Straight 8 sights factory installed. Trigger action is DA/SA, though not in the traditional sense. If the slide is cycled (as in normal loading) then it is a SA trigger pull, lots of take-up but a rather crisp 6 lbs (as measured in repeated tests on my RCBS premium gauge). If the slide hasn’t been cycled, as in a failure to fire, then the pistol offers a long, though smooth, DA pull measured at 7lbs. There is also a manual safety, up for safe-down for not, easily reached with the thumb.

The pistol was fired for accuracy, off-hand at 15 yards with CCI Blazer 155TC, and PMC 165 JHPs. Results were promising, with the PMC load delivering neatly rounded groups of 1.5” while the Blazer ran just a bit over 2”.

These pistols are also supposed to be available in 9mm and .45ACP. Personally, I can’t wait to try one in 9mm, as I think these are a good improvement over the older, DAO, 24/7s.

Yea, I had the original one. Got it like a month after they came out. Sold it though cause I had a 1911 and didn't need another .45 for CCW.
