It took a while to save for but I got an SP101 (it was between that and the Model 60) new and I love it. Now its time to get something for my wife. We will both be getting our CHLs in the not too distant future and we are still getting into the world of shooting. I'd love to go out and get her another SP101, and she'd be very happy with it, but since funds are tight (and I still want her first gun to be a new one) I'm looking for reliable alternatives. I hadnt previously given taurus much thought but a colleague recently got one and seems very happy. I think that with the lifetime warranty they offer, we might take a closer look at the 605
