Anybody ever owned one of these Taurus revolvers?

Model: 617SH2C
TOTAL TITANIUM, .357 MAG, 7 RDS, DA/SA, REVOLVER IN SHADOW GRAY

How was the quality?

Suitability for concealed carry?

Can these Taurus titanium revolvers stand up to .357 rounds better than the alloy J-frames? Or are they limited to just occasional range use of .357 with most practice done with .38 as some claim for the J-frame?

I don't have the Titanium Model. I have the Stainless Steel 617 and it's been superb. :) I carry it every day both on & off duty. I've shot every 357 load imaginable in it without a hiccup of any sort. Use it with confidence!

My wife has the 617 in stainless, ported model. It's a great gun, though I've never carried it. I went with a S&W 340PD for daily carry (just got it so haven't even shot it yet).

We did have a problem with the cylinder latch not working, but we sent it back to Taurus and they fixed it at no charge.

I'd go for it if I were you.

Thanks for the info folks. It doesn't look like too many people on THR own one.

There must be a Taurus forum somewhere where dozens of people own this specific model.
