After only 100 rounds today, and only about 800 since I got it back from Taurus with the side plate screws loose enough to get out and the arm slot slighty enlarged to avoid hang ups, the thing wouldn't even close.

The first time it locked up was also after about 1k rounds, and the side plate screws were so tight I couldn't get it. They fixed it after two weeks and sent it back with a smart ass letter about lead loads.

After today's jam I pack it up after a brushing attempt with CLP under the star does not work.

I come home and remove the cylinder and take it down and clean the heck out of it and it locks up again without a problem (after my dumb self turned the washer spacer on the front of the cylinder around the right way again when reassembling). The problem was crap under the star. I also brushed the heck out of the cone area just because.

The thing is still dragging, though. I pull the side plate and get the arm out to find that Taurus didn't bother to smooth the area on the arm slot when they enlarged it, and stuff narrowed it again. I clean it up and it looks like file teeth. The side of the arm up near the top is showing a slight amount of wear there. I smooth out the slot side (what a PITA to get in there) and then hose out the workings and spend about 15 minutes getting the arm back in and the trigger springs back in place at the same time.

Thank Taurus.
