I like the small Magna type grips and the classic Tyler adapters for my snub nose revolvers. Had to do a little trimming but the Thai grips with checkered inlays make this 856 very easy to pocket carry and IWB carry. Had to do a little trimming on the Tyler as well. I lucked out and got the Tyler T from a friend for a little bit of 9mm ammo. I have a model 60 Smith and model 85 Taurus but the 6 shot 856 fits my needs well. Taurus 856 .jpg

I've used a standard K-frame Tyler's on a Taurus 82 way back in the day with no problem. Can't swear it'll work for anyone else.

A BK might be easier if you have to modify it being made out of some kind of resin, and I wouldn't want to grind/sand/file on a real tylers these days.

Does a standard J frame grip adapter fit a frame framed Taurus? I haven't tried it, but that would be a nice option.

The J frame grip adapters have fit all of the small frame Taurus revolvers that I own. The BK grip website states the following :

”Customers have reported that the J adapter fits properly on Taurusmodels 85, 605, 856 and 905. Other customers have reported that a J adapter fits the Rossi M68 and M88 models. The J adapter is supposed to fit properly on many Charter revolvers, and customers have reported success with the Undercover, Off Duty and Bulldog models. But I can’t guarantee that a J adapter fits on all Charter revolvers, and I don’t have a specific list of compatible models to offer.”

I had to modify one slightly to fit a Charter Arms Off Duty but no mods for a Taurus.
