My wife owns a PT22.
It's never had any mechanical issues before, but now after about 400 rounds the trigger is acting goofy. It still loads and fires fine when using high velocity ammo, but today at the range the trigger started failing to reset about 1 in 4 times.
When you tip up the barrel, you can see the trigger spring. It does not look broken. The spring still pushes the trigger forward, but about 25% of the time it does not have the oomph to push it that few millimeters to reset.
I have not had the gun apart yet - could this be some kind of fowling buildup on the linkage, or should I just send it to Taurus for a replacement spring?
