I have a chance to buy a taurus revolver in .44 magnum is $630 a good price or a bad price? The gun is used but in very good condition

For $630 you should easily be able to get a lightly-used Smith and Wesson 29/629 or Ruger Redhawk/Super Redhawk instead. You won't regret it. Pass on the Taurus at that price.

I agree that sounds expensive to me as well. I saw a .44 in 8" for $325 not long ago used in good condition.

it's a raging bull 6 inch barrel. I always wanted one of these but I don't think I want to spend that much.

Thats almost twice what the gun is worth OP.

a lot of times values are lowballed on gun forums but in this case, the gun is quite overpriced.. you could get the equivalent smith or ruger used for less and that gun new for much less.
