The Taurus Total Copper .45ACP 185 gr cartridges are no longer available. Are these the same cartridge? They seem to be the same bullet. : Barnes TAC-XPD: 45 ACP - +P 185 Grain SCHP
Loading the same bullet into a cartridge doesn't mean its the same as a different cartridge. Unless you know the characteristics of the powder used in both cartridges, there is no way to speculate whether they will perform similarly, much less whether they are identical.
Finally, I will suggest that this post might generate some relevant responses if placed in either the Ammunition forum or the Semi-automatic pistol forum.
I still have some of the Taurus bullets and love the fact they are standard pressure.
I believe the bullet is the same, as Barnes changed the name from XPB to Tac-XP
I have also tried the Black Hills Tac-XP 185gr. +P load and they shoot very well with a slight increase in felt recoil. These are my carry ammo.
I have some of Barnes own loading of this bullet but haven't actually tried them yet.
What the Taurus Total Copper's aren't available anymore? I will have to guard my few rounds I have left. I use them for the one up the spout in my carry guns.
