My tax refund, all $16 of it...

Guess that's what I get for claiming married with 7 exemptions and only having 3. :uhoh:

I was gonna get a 1911 with it...but instead I put it aside for a down payment on a bike.

Pick it up before Saturday, Jesse. Some friends and I are riding up to Brenham to look at all the purty flaw'rs. :D

A time and a place for everything,,

*sigh*
Like I said,,,pet peeve.

Blink ole bud, I'm happy you're finding a way to finance a new shootin iron. (The Timberwolf sounds slick,,,add my vote to that one)

Far as responding to or retracting my peeve, this ain't the thread for it.

Also, I can only claim one exemption on my W4. This does not mean, however, that tax is not still witheld. Since I made well under the standard deduction last year, I got it all back

You can claim as many exemptions as you like (well, get over 10 and it goes to a special place).. and if you were exempt last year you are....da da... exempt this year as well, ie: no federal withholding if you will out the forms properly.

It's much better to owe (within reason) than to give the feds an interest free loan. The reason most people don't do that is because they lack the financial responsibility to put the extra money away to pay for any tax balance at the end of the year.

For example, I had to pay about $400 to the feds this year . this is perfect as it's below the 'penalty' amount and I got to get interest on that money.

seeing as how i live in the tax haven known as PRK...

I claim 10 even though im single with no kids, it abhors me to give the .gov my money all year and then pay some accountant to figure out how much i get back... i wrote a check yesterday for only 900$ ... take a poll and find out how many people think that because they get a refund, they are "paying no taxes" i know lots of ignorant sheep who believe this..

I'd claim 20 if i could...

My capital loss was so bad that I got back everything I paid - except, of course, the SS and other things that just disappear. Yeah, I got back all $74 (state and fed combined). That's what happens when you tell your boss how much he owes you and he just writes you a check. I've even got another $1k loss that carries over to next year :( One night of drinking (already done) and a tank of gas (today) and I'll be down to enough for about one box of ammo.

Skunk, while I'm buying a Beretta, might as well buy a Mini 14!!

Sch'y..

Actually, both fit with my "Cowboy Logistics" quite nicely..

Hmm... My refund is fat enough from both state and federal that I can afford both!!

But I might have to put cash into the "Tactical Girlfriend's M1Carbine so she can be cool like Runt and Sheslinger" fund..
