Hey All,
A few months ago, I was very close to purchasing an 1858 NMA (thanks to articap for his advice and guidance!)...
The obsession hasn't died down, so I am again ready to purchase C&B revolver. (1858 NMA with a 5.5" barrel)
I am wondering a few things:
Do Taylors or Texas Jacks actually have higher quality Uberti's, due to an elevated level of quality control?
Why are Pietta revolvers consistently lower in price than Uberti?
If I order a conversion cylinder from a specialty retailer, do you think they would pop it in to check for fit and function?
Where do you all favor when ordering balls, caps, wads, etc....?
Can someone recommend a good cylinder loading stand? The type where you remove your cylinder from the revolver and load it? (the Cabelas press seems to get horrible reviews)
Thanks for all the wealth of knowledge and good spirits that you all bring to this sub-forum (the best on the web!)
