A local store has a new TC Omega on clearance for $275 + tax. It's the one in the plastic packaging, complete with some extra kit (bullets, patches, jag, cleaning rod handle, etc).

Am I going to regret it if I don't run out and buy it? Keep in mind, I don't shoot much in the way of bullets, but it might be nice to once in awhile, especially if it will do 3"-4" groups at 100 yards with a scope.

Any information is appreciated.

That's a good deal but Cabela's also has the Z5 Omega on sale for $309.99. So there's not too much difference after sales tax and with whatever other incentives Cabela's happens to be currently offering.

And Midsouth is selling it for $300.08.

Remember that it will cost more money to mount a scope on it too.
Cabela's has plenty of reviews about it, but despite the 4.9 out of 5 rating, the Omega still isn't meant for everybody (including myself ;)) .
But on the other hand, if you still went out and bought it, I certainly wouldn't blame you.
While it may not be the perfect muzzle loader, it comes pretty close to being perfect for many people.
In the end it all boils down to whether or not you're ready to spend the money and give it a "shot". :D

I have a .50 cal T/C Omega topped with a 4x Nikon glass that is a fantastic rifle.
Using two 50 grain Pyrodex pellets behind a 240 grain T/C shockwave, 3 shots from the bench went into one ragged hole at 50 yards one day last week.
A great rifle to carry afield and perfect for treestand use.
Have fun!

My local Walmart has the Omega Z5 kits marked down to $225 right now. I am seriously considering getting one. Because right now I am having to borrow my dads old hawken style rifle.
